Three weeks after the conclusion of the Lok Sabha elections, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has initiated a series of meetings to address pending state matters. Due to the code of conduct enforced during the elections, the state government was unable to make or implement significant decisions. Now, with the elections over, Chief Minister Banerjee has scheduled a cabinet meeting to discuss various state issues next week at the State Secretariat Navanna. Chief Secretary Bhagwati Prasad Gopalika issued a notification stating that the meeting will take place on June 26 at 3 PM.
The notification, released on June 20, specifies that the meeting will occur in the Council of Ministers room on the 14th floor of Navanna. The session, led by Chief Minister Banerjee, will include ministers of all departments, state ministers, secretaries, officers, engineers, and police officers. This will be the 56th state cabinet meeting, where ongoing programs and new schemes will be discussed and potentially decided upon.
